As you can see by the small selection of Beth’s photos below both Alistair and Bethan returned from that “once in a lifetime” trip to scale Mt Kilimanjaro in Kenya. Still awaiting the final figures for money raised but it looks like it’s going to break the £300,000 barrier – a fantastic achievement for all those who took part – amongst them comedian Rhod Gilbert, Martin Williams (Wales and British Lion), and Iolo Williams of TV fame. They were part of a team of 50+ people drawn from all walks of life in Wales who made a fantastic effort to raise funds for Felindre Cancer Unit. Beth trained hard for this climb, and I know 6 months ago, never thought she could make it – not so!!! Also, for everyone who supported our climbers – Bethan and Alistair – both financially, materially, and mentally, well done for helping them raise such an amazing amount of money.
