Once again Janine and her merry (and I mean “Merry”!!) band succeeded in pulling off yet another magnificent fundraiser for the Memorial Hall funds, and the population of the village and surrounding areas turned out in their in their hundreds to taste the fantastic treats on offer. Once again there was ken competition in all categories and for some unknown reason the tables that offered the beers, ciders, wise and spirits appeared some what more popular as the evening wore on. I wonder why? Could it have been the wonderful cider produced by Mr Bowen which was rumoured to be 14% proof. It’s a wonder the hall roof didn’t blow off!!! Congratulations to all the people who gave of their time and effort to put on a fantastic display of home grown produce.
