Come and support your local Celtic Rowing Club as Llansteffan launches it’s inaugural home Celtic Rowing race which will be run under Welsh Sea Rowing Association rules on September 6th starting on Llansteffan’s main beach. The Tywi Boat Club Celtic Rowing section have made a huge impact on the Celtic Rowing scene over the past 3 years with our juniors team beating nearly all comers in their respective divisions. The club is competing against teams from South, West and North Wales, areas where some clubs have had a tradition of longboat rowing for nearly 100 years. Teams will be competing from as far afield as Barry, Anglesey, and Porthmadog as well as our closer neighbours from Pembrokeshire and the Gower. In such august company the Tywi Boat Club was last year voted best New Club and is looking for greater success this year. The Ladies Team has also give a fair account of themselves over the last few years and are looking to make a big impact in their first home race.
