Trehyddion Barns is an 18th century converted stone and slate barn with many original features set in an idyllic peaceful rural location on a smallholding, with views towards the Gower Pennisular and 2 miles from a sandy beach. Recently converted into a holiday let with a courtyard patio and garden, this barn sleeps six in two doubles and a bunk bedroom. We extend a warm Welsh welcome to you for a visit to our smallholding for a weekly booking or short break.
Barn Description
The barn sleeps six in 3 bedrooms, and has been designed as an “upside down” arrangement with living space on the first floor. The vaulted ceiling with exposed A-frames, stone walls, reclaimed floorboards and gallery staircase, retain the original character of the barn. The living area consists of a spacious open plan living/dining room with comfy sofas and views to the coast, LCD TV with Freeview and inbuilt DVD and large cast iron radiators to keep it cosy. The kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, fridge, electric cooker, microwave and oak breakfast bar with 2 stools. The bathroom has a free standing bath, WC and hand-wash basin. Please be aware that some of the beams are quite low in the upstairs rooms.
The 3 bedrooms downstairs have under-floor heating, and consist of two doubles each with LCD Freeview TV with inbuilt DVD, over bed task reading lights, dressing table, wardrobe, bedside tables and en-suite wet rooms with shower, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail. The bunk bed room has a small arrow slit and large window overlooking the patio and garden, LCD TV, bedside table and under stair storage space.
Bed linen, tea towels and bath towels are provided. Please provide your own beach towels. We have a collection of buckets, spades and beach mats for loan. One well behaved pet is welcome by arrangement (£10 charge), but please keep them off the soft furnishings and on the lead when outside as we have free range ducks! A double sink and drainer, washing machine, tumble dryer, small freezer and oil central heating boiler are located in a utility with separate access (lockable) with room for drying and storage. There is a slate paved patio seating area outside with BBQ, garden furniture and landscaped walled garden, with plenty of parking space at the front of the building.
