Mae Llansteffan yn bentref bach tawel mewn llecyn hynod o brydferth ar lan aber afon Tywi. Uwchben y pentref mae Castell Llansteffan, sy'n dyddio o'r 12fed ganrif, ac o ble y ceir golygfeydd anhygoel dros yr aber i Fro Gwyr ac ymhellach fyth. Mae'r traeth melyn yn ymestyn o gyrion y pentref, o amgylch maes y castell ac i Fae Scotts, ac mae'n ddelfrydol ar gyfer pob math o weithgareddau glan-y-mor, gan gynnwys barbyciwiau haf yng ngolau'r machlud.
